Use the VA’s Online Portal (eBenefits or VA.gov)

The fastest and most convenient way to check your status is through your VA.gov account:

• Visit VA.gov
• Sign in with your DS Logon, My HealtheVet, or ID.me account.
• Once logged in, go to your “Disability” tab and click on “Check your claim or appeal status.”

You’ll see:

• The current status of your claim (e.g., “Under Review,” “Preparation for Decision”)
• The date it was submitted
• Any documents needed
• Estimated completion time
